This is a story of a young mother from a small village in Poltava region who lives in very challenging conditions.
The lady you see in the photo above has had disabilities since an early age. She lives together with her 96-year-old grandmother and a 4-year-old daughter who both need care and support.
Unfortunately, due to her own health conditions and tough financial situation, the young mother could not afford to purchase a wheelchair. The absence of a wheelchair severely limited her mobility so she could not get outside her own home.
Scents of Ukraine partnered with a local volunteer in Ukraine who purchased the much-needed wheelchair. Now the mother can get around the village and enjoy a walk with her daughter.
