On May 29, 2022 a group of talented American musicians got together to do what they do best -- play music. They channelled their talent and passion for performing into Music for Ukraine, a fundraising concert where 100% of donations benefited UNICEF's coordinated response to the crisis in Ukraine.
The event took place in Thousand Oaks, California. Over 100 people attended the concert and an amount of over $2,000 was raised.
Caitlin Boruch, the organizer of the concert kindly invited Yuliya Gorenko, the creator of Scents of Ukraine, to participate in this event.
Yuliya stood up in front of the audience to tell her story of escaping the war. But most importantly, she spoke about what her country and nation have been going through since February 24, 2022. Yuliya also thanked every American who is supporting Ukraine through these dark times.
By selling Scents of Ukraine candles at the concert, we were able to contribute to the fundraiser efforts.
We want to once again express our gratitude to the concert's organizers, to the musicians who contributed their time and energy to this performance, and to the generous donors and sponsors.
